Sore Loosers at the National Television Awards?

Hosted by Dermot O’Leary this year, the national Television Awards is a viewer only television ceremony, which this year took place at London’s O2 Arena.

Ant and Dec won the prize for best TV presenter for the 16th year at the national television awards alongside the best entertainment programme for Saturday night takeaway.

Their awards did not stop there, as the best challenge show was awarded to I’m a Celebrity, get me out of here. Also a big success for Scarlett Moffatt who was crowned Queen of the Jungle this year.

Following the success of Scarlett Moffatt, fellow Goggle box stars Stephen Webb and Christopher Steed take the Factual Entertainment award.

Mary Berry wins the best TV Judge award and celebrates with a standing ovation from the audience. This is particularly emotional, as Mary will not be returning to the Great British Bake off for any future seasons. When collecting the award Mary said ‘’I love judging and it has always been a great honour’’

Call The Midwife wins the best Period Drama, which is a new category introduced this year, and was contested with big dramas, which attracted millions of viewers this autumn such as Poldark and Victoria.

The award for best Live Magazine Show went to This Morning, winning over co-nominee Loose Women which fuelled a reaction from one of the Loose Women, Nadia Sawalha who commented to someone near; ‘every f***ing year’’. This can be seen in the video below:

Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, the presenters of This Morning announced on stage that they will be getting tattoos to celebrate the award, but promised not to go as crazy with the booze as last year and branded their behavior ‘shameful’.
